The Evolution of an Auto Brand
The evolution of design is such an interesting thing to watch. There are many factors that affect the outcome of a design such as the consumer, economy and current trends to name a few. With this in mind we are going to look at a car that has lasted for over 50 years (the name anyways).
We are going to look at the Dodge Charger. Once a hugely popular muscle car in the late 60’s and now with the current large car version this car has withstood the test of time thus far, with only a few years of breaks in between. We are going to look at how the design of this car has changed from the first concept car to the current version and everything in between.

Adding a photo to a website gives it more of a personality, as well as humanizes it. The First Post
It’s always cool to see things evolve, whether it be a logo, website, or in this case content. Everyone has to start somewhere so we are going to look at some design blogs out there and see how it all started for them, and see how they evolved with experience. Let’s look at some first posts.
Note: There may be some websites that for whatever reason does not currently have their first post online, if that was the case, we have included the earliest one.

Inspirational Pagination: Magazine Layouts
Magazine layouts or Pagination, is a whole different kind of design. It usually involves a design that needs to be repeated over and over again and look good on every page. It also needs to display a lot of information at the same time. This is a kind of design that people don’t generally notice, but it is something that should be looked at.
So, below we have showcased some examples that show really well designed magazine layouts. Enjoy!
If you have seen any other layouts that would go into this category, feel free to put a link in the comments below. Thanks!
Inspiration: These websites are not white
These websites use variations of light colors to create a mood for their website instead of using just white. This list show that you don’t always have to use white if you want a light colored website. Below are websites that could have been white, and probably would have looked good, but the designers pushed the boundary to create something just a little different. These websites are not white.
If you think that I missed a website or some websites that would fall into this category, let me know by putting a link in the comments. Thanks!
Inspiration: These websites are not black
Being a designer means pushing the boundaries, not always staying with the norm. These websites do just that, instead of just defaulting to black, they use a variety of different textures, colors, glows and gradients. This is an inspiration that shows you have other options when making a dark website, rather than using just black. These websites are not black.
I’m sure there are more that I have missed, if you find some that qualify as being “not black” let me know by putting a link in the comments below. Thanks.
