Inspiration: Websites with popping color
These designers have made their websites pop by adding a small amount of color/highlight. There are a number of reasons to do this. Using color for content areas can help the viewer find the important content easier. Also if you have important imagery, using one standout color can help compliment the images you want to stand out. Finally some people use a few colors for just a design aspect to make their website look better. Lets look at a few of these examples.

All of these designs are a solid color (white, black and shades of gray and brown) and have a bright color that pops up. This is an excellent way to draw the visitors attention to a specific part of the site.
The Zeus Design is the one that pops out the most. Black always makes a bright color pop out.

Thanks for a really nice collection of examples of some beautiful websites. These really show off a very effective use of colour to draw attention to, and highlight focus areas of the layouts. Many of these sites I have never heard of or seen before – nice to see some fresh examples in a ’round-up’ post!
